Disclaimer

Every figure on this site is an estimate for general information only. This is an independent website — it is not a government website, and nothing here is an official pay order.

Our calculators work from published pay rules so you can understand and plan around your salary. But pay is fixed by official orders and your own service record, not by a website. This page sets out, plainly, what our figures can and cannot do.

Last updated: 21 October 2026

In one line: use our calculators to understand your pay — never as the sole basis for a payroll, tax, loan, pension or retirement decision.

All figures are estimates

Every salary, allowance and arrears figure on this site is computed from the values you enter and the published rules we have applied — the pay matrix, the current DA percentage, HRA slabs and the standard deductions. That makes our results a careful estimate, not a determination of your pay.

An individual salary depends on pay fixation, increments, recoveries, subscriptions, tax regime, posting and personal circumstances that no public calculator can fully know. If a figure here differs from your salary slip, the slip — and the official orders behind it — prevail. Your Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) and Pay and Accounts Office (PAO) are the authorities for your pay.

8th CPC figures are projections

The 8th Central Pay Commission was constituted on 3 November 2025, and its report is due around May 2027. It has not been implemented: no revised pay structure, fitment factor or allowance rate for the 8th CPC has been recommended or notified.

Every 8th CPC number on this site — including projections built on widely discussed fitment assumptions — is an illustrative estimate, labelled as a projection wherever it appears. When official recommendations and orders are published, they may differ from every projection shown here, and we will update our pages to match them.

Rates change over time

DA, HRA and allowance rates on our pages follow the latest published orders at the time the page was written or last updated — for example, DA of 60% effective 1 January 2026 at the time of writing. DA is normally revised twice a year, and other orders change as they are issued. A page may therefore not reflect an order published after its last-updated date. Before relying on any rate, check the current office memorandum from the Department of Expenditure at doe.gov.in or the Press Information Bureau at pib.gov.in.

The same caution applies to every worked example on this site — an arrears table, a sample salary slip or an in-hand figure for a particular pay level. Each example uses the rates in force on its last-updated date and the assumptions stated beside it. If a newer order has been issued since, the method stays the same, but the numbers will move.

Not a government website

The 8th Pay Commission Salary Calculator is an independently run information website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Government of India, any ministry or department, the Railway Board, or any state government. Similar names are used only to describe the subject of the site — government pay commissions — and imply no official status.

Verify before you decide

  • Check any figure that matters against your latest salary slip.
  • Confirm the current DA and HRA rates against the latest official office memorandum.
  • For fixation, arrears, recovery or pension questions, approach your DDO, PAO or accounts office — only they can decide your case.
  • Take tax and investment decisions with a qualified adviser who knows your full position.

We accept no liability for payroll, tax or financial decisions taken on the basis of figures from this site. The figures are provided in good faith, from published sources, for general information only.
